I was at a loss when trying to think of a wedding gift for my husband to be. I wanted something personal, unique and special to give him on our wedding day. Hence, I was recommended by a friend to Words Work Wonders.
It started with a questionnaire to fill out. All I had to do was think of some fun memories, special moments and any other quirky traits or mannerisms about my fiancé. Alex took it from there. He literally worked wonders and created such a special and personal poem. It was as I I had written it.... if only I could write that well! It was absolutely spot on and felt like it came straight from my heart.
I read it to my husband on the morning after our wedding and it bought us both to tears. (In a good way!) It was such a sentimental and precious moment, it couldn't have been more perfect.
I would highly recommend Words Work Wonders for a unique and thoughtful gift. Alex was great, I don't really know how he made sense of my ramblings! The whole process was so easy from start to finish. I will definitely be using Alex's services again, I can't thank him enough.

Youth, charm, looks, wit AND amazing writing? Just five of the reasons I found myself jealous of Alex...
...the skills of a poet who had the crowd's reactions varying between nods of agreement and large grins inspired by brilliant capsules of wit weaved into his poem
Alex was great his keen blend of artistry, intelligence, and humour ensured the poem he composed and then performed (amazingly well!) delighted my wife and our guests at her birthday party at The Deck, National Theatre.

Such a wonderful, unique and very personal gift for a loved one for any special occasion; be it for a birthday, wedding, retirement, leaving work, new parents and so forth. In my case Alex was a surprise 'guest' at my Husbands 50th birthday party. Alex posed as a Barman, who whilst clearing glasses mingled amongst the guest and asked them for stories, memories and anecdotes about my husband. Alex then went on his break and wrote a truly amazing, very funny and personal poem of which he read out. It was a great success and we now have the poem framed for all to see. So if you are stuck for a present and want something very original then book Alex. You really will not be disappointed.

Alex is both charming and professional, and his poems effortlessly capture the mood of any occasion. He has an amazing ability to get people to open up without even really realising they're doing it, and his poems are funny and moving in equal measure.

'I've booked Alex to perform at two of my events, both event industry networking receptions and would thoroughly recommend him for any event managers looking for something a little bit different. Alex has a fantastic ability to capture people's imaginations and improvise on the spot personable and memorable poems for any type of event.
